ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Full Award at Fetac Level 5 in CHILD CARE
* A least 2 years work experience of working in the childcare sector
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Good communication and relating skills with children, parents and
staff
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations regarding child
protection
* Complete Garda vetting

* Additional Childcare qualifications and experience are highly
desirable and valued

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Collaborate with the Manager for the purpose of implementing and
maintaining services and/ or programmes
* Co-ordinate the implementation of activities suitable for this age
group
* Maintain room, and equipment, to ensure the health and safety of
children at all times
* Ensure a good standard of hygiene
* Attend meetings and undergo training as required
* Be aware of all policies and follow same
* Be aware of child protection procedures and advise manager should
you have any concerns about a child
* Supervise homework activities.
* Accompany children from school
* Maintain strict confidentiality, any breach of confidentiality
about children or their families will constitute gross misconduct
* Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned
from time to time
Monday to Friday – 2pm to 6pm
